On 26 September 2025, H.E. Mr. Atipat Rojanapaibulya, Ambassador to Thailand to Timor-Leste, hosted a luncheon at his residence in honour of Mr. Patiparn Boontarig, Director of the Thai film “Solids by the Seashore,” which was awarded the LG OLED New Currents Award and the NETPAC Award from the 2023 Busan International Film Festival. This film was selected as one of the foreign movies taking part in DIFF 2025. The Royal Thai Embassy has continued its close cooperation with the DIFF organizing team to promote Thai film as Thailand’s soft power to strengthen people-to-people ties, which are an important element of the relations between Thailand and Timor-Leste.

On 27 September 2025, the Ambassador, together with the Embassy’s staff and members of Thai community in Timor-Leste, attended the screening of this film, which received very positive responses from the Timorese audience and members of the diplomatic corps.
