On 29 September 2025, Mr. Thanachai Wachiraworakorn, Minister Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy, together with officials from the Embassy, met with Assistant Inspector Moises Mau Taci, Team Leader and Immigration Officer at the Mota'ain land border in Bobonaro, Timor-Leste. The meeting aimed to gain a better understanding of border-crossing procedures as part of the Embassy’s preparation for potential emergency cases that may require the evacuation of Thai nationals through the land border between Timor-Leste and Indonesia. During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on operational practices and coordination mechanisms at the border.

 

The meeting was a part of the Embassy’s survey of border routes to update and improve emergency evacuation plans. It also provided an opportunity to strengthen ties and enhance mutual understanding between the Embassy’s officials and Timorese authorities, contributing to the safety and well-being of the Thai community in Timor-Leste.
