Diplomatic and Official Visa for Diplomatic, Laissez Passer and Official Passport Holder

Purposes:

Diplomatic Visa is for diplomatic passport /red UN Laissez-Passer holder visiting Thailand for official purpose or be posted in Thailand:

- Diplomatic Visa is for diplomatic passport /red UN Laissez-Passer holder visiting Thailand for an official duties or activities on behalf of their national government or international organization will be granted a Diplomatic Visa "F".

- Diplomatic Visa is for diplomatic passport /red UN Laissez-Passer holder visiting to be posted in Thailand will be granted a Diplomatic Visa "D".

Requirements:

• Completed visa application form
• Original passport with at least 6-month validity and 2 blank visa pages
• A copy of passport (ID page)
• A passport size photo and taken within the past 6 months
• Cover letter from the applicant’s organisation, e.g. Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassy, UN organisations, relevant ministries, agencies etc. stating the applicant’s name, position and purpose of visit.

No fees applied this type of visa

Validity of Visa:

3 months

Period of stay:

The holders of this type of visa are initially granted a period of stay in the Kingdom not exceeding 90 days unless otherwise instructed by the Office of Immigration Bureau.

Extension of stay:

For diplomatic passport holder and official passport holder who will be posted to Thailand, the extension of stay can be made through the Department of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.
