On 8 July 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Dili organized a volunteer activity in commemoration of the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s Birthday Anniversary on 28 July 2026, by providing nutritious lunch to school children under the “Dapur ba Povu” (Kitchen for the People) Nutrition Program at Kantina Matak, the Presidential Palace. The Program was inaugurated by President José Ramos-Horta in December 2022. The Embassy together with the Thai Community also handed over essential items to support the Program’s efforts in promoting good nutrition among Timorese children and youth. President Ramos-Horta graciously joined this volunteer activity on this auspicious occasion and expressed his appreciation for the Thai community’s continued support to the Program.
