On 26 September 2024, H.E. Mr. Atipat Rojanapaibulya, Ambassador to Thailand to Timor-Leste, attended the opening ceremony of the 6^th Dili International Film Festival (DIFF) 2024, presided over by H.E. José Ramos-Horta, President of Timor-Leste. The festival’s highlight was the screening of “Kiss of the Con Queen”, directed by Thai filmmaker Mr. Tom Waller, on the opening night. The Royal Thai Embassy also supported the event by providing Thai dishes, including Yum Woon Sen (spicy glass noodle salad) and Krathong Thong (crispy golden cups with chicken filling), at the reception.

In addition, the Ambassador hosted a luncheon in honor of Mr. Waller and the DIFF 2024 organizing team. He emphasized the importance of film and creative industries as a means to foster relations and friendship between the peoples of the two countries. The Ambassador expressed hopes for future collaborations that would bring more Thai films to Timor-Leste.
