On 19 December 2024, Mr. Mateus Lukas, President of the National Paralympic Committee of Timor-Leste (Comité Paralímpico Nacional Timor-Leste - CPNTL), as well as its executive members, called on H.E. Mr. Atipat Rojanapaibulya, Ambassador of Thailand to Timor-Leste, to discuss about participation of Timorese para-athletes in 13^th ASEAN Para Games (“Korat Games”) to be held in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand, in January 2026. The President of CPNTL approached the Royal Thai Embassy to explore the possibility of supporting the Timorese para-athletes to participate in the said event. The Ambassador of Thailand asked CPNTL to provide detailed information, i.e. sportswear and equipment, for the Embassy’s consideration. The Royal Thai Embassy gave priority on its activities to enhance capacity-building of local people which is a major element of relations between Thailand and Timor-Leste.
