On 25 November 2025 upon the invitation by the Embassy of Timor-Leste in Thailand, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, delivered congratulatory remarks at the reception on the occasion of Timor-Leste’s full accession to ASEAN.

 

On this occasion, Foreign Minister Sihasak underscored that the accession as the 11th ASEAN Member State reflects our strong commitment to multilateralism in the region and will further strengthen ASEAN’s unity while promoting an inclusive community building process. He also reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to continue supporting Timor-Leste in all aspects and expressed confidence that Timor-Leste will bring fresh perspectives and energy to further drive the future development of the ASEAN Community.
