On 29 October 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Dili organized a special memorial service in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother of Thailand at the Catholic chapel within the Apostolic Nunciature to Timor-Leste. The ceremony was presided over by Rev. Monsignor Marcel Šmejkal, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Apostolic Nunciature. H.E. Mr. Atipat Rojanapaibulya, Ambassador of Thailand to Timor-Leste, together with officials and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy, their families, as well as members of the Thai community in Timor-Leste, participated in the ceremony to pay tribute to Her Majesty with deep respect and gratitude.

On 30 October 2025, the Embassy held a homage and tribute-paying ceremony in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother at the Embassy. On this occasion, the Thai Ambassador presided over the ceremony and delivered a message expressing deep appreciation for Her Majesty’s lifelong devotion and compassion toward the Thai people. The Ambassador, officials, and their families also observed a moment of meditation and prayers, dedicating merit to Her Majesty on the seventh day after Her passing, followed by signing the book of condolence.

In addition, during 29 - 31 October 2025, the Embassy opened the book of condolence for Timorese dignitaries and the general public. Among those who paid tribute and signed were H.E. José Ramos-Horta, President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste; H.E. Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, Prime Minister; H.E. Mr. Mariano Assanami Sabino Lopes, Vice Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for Social Affairs, and Minister for Rural Development and Community Housing; H.E. Mrs. Milena da Costa Rangel, Vice Minister for ASEAN Affairs; members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Timor-Leste; the President and executive members of the Alumni Association of Timorese Students in Thailand (AATST); representatives of the private sector and members of the Thai community in Timor-Leste.
