Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Thailand Foundation have the honor to announce the recipient of the Public Diplomacy Award 2023: sisters and golf champions Moriya “Pro Mo” and Ariya “Pro May” Jutanugarn.
The duo’s renowned skills and remarkable achievements in golf have continuously attracted international recognition for Thailand for more than 10 years. Moreover, their successes have inspired Thai youths to follow their dreams, as well as to take up the sport of golf. As such, the number of professional Thai women golfers in the international arena has risen.
The Sisters are, therefore, deserving to be honored as co-recipients of the Public Diplomacy Award 2023. Both of their names will be engraved on the Trophy named “Goodwill” and the "Wall of Fame" which will be permanently exhibited at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Besides, Moriya and Ariya will also receive a replica Trophy along with an honorary plaque and a prize of 300,000 baht.
We thank the public for nominating candidates for this year’s award.The award ceremony will be held officially at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in December 2023.
