On 12 April 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy together with the Thai community in Timor-Leste celebrated the Songkran festival and the traditional Thai New Year's Day by sprinkling scented water onto a Buddha image and enjoyed the community gathering at the Royal Thai Embassy.
