On 2 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Atipat Rojanapaibulya, Ambassador of Thailand to Timor-Leste, handed over the first financial support in the amount of 3,100 USD from the Government of Thailand to Casa Vida to support its efforts to address the gender-based violence against women and youth in Timor-Leste.

On this occasion, the Ambassador reiterated Thailand's steadfast commitment to supporting human security and promoting the empowerment of women and children in Timor-Leste through wide-ranging cooperation in public health, education, and economic development. Ms. Alzira Pereira, Executive Director of Casa Vida, expressed her gratitude for the continuous support from the Embassy. Past collaborative endeavors between the Embassy and the Foundation included the Thai Gastronomy Dinner at Aroma Café held on 23 March 2025 and the Embassy's regular donations of essential items to the Foundation. Casa Vida would utilize the donated fund to finance the provision of shelter, food, and vocational training for Timorese women and youth who are victims of Gender-based Violence (GBV).

The handover of support to the Foundation marked the Auspicious Occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s 4th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 3rd June 2026. Her Majesty the Queen has been a steadfast advocate for women’s empowerment and child protection. This collaboration exemplifies Her Majesty’s commitment to improving the lives of women and children.
