On 11 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Atipat Rojanapaibulya, Ambassador of Thailand to Timor-Leste, presided over a merit-making ceremony on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother’s Birthday Anniversary on 12 August 2026 at the Royal Thai Embassy in Dili.

On this occasion, the Ambassador lit candles and incense in homage to the Triple Gem, paid royal tribute before the portrait of Her Majesty the Queen Mother and led the participants in Buddhist chanting in dedication of merit to Her Majesty. The ceremony concluded with the participants observing 93 seconds of silence as a tribute to Her Majesty and in solemn remembrance of Her gracious benevolence.
