On 4 February 2024, the Ambassadors of ASEAN member countries to Timor-Leste and their spouses, namely Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia, and the Philippines, hosted a welcome dinner for H.E. Mr. Atipat Rojanapaibulya, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Timor-Leste and his wife, Mrs. Lalana Rojanapaibulya, on the occasion of his assumption of duty.

On this occasion, the ASEAN Ambassadors exchanged views on the overall political, economic, and social situation in Timor-Leste, as well as the operations of their respective embassies.  The Ambassador-Designate of Thailand expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and useful information from other colleagues.  He affirmed the readiness of the Royal Thai Embassy to fully cooperate with the ASEAN Embassies to further strengthen the relations between ASEAN and Timor-Leste as well as among ASEAN community here.
