On 5 December 2023 at 16.30 hrs., The Royal Thai Embassy in Dili organised a ceremony on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, Thailand’s Father’s Day at the Ballroom, Novo Turismo Hotel.  The Chargé d’ Affaires a.i. presided over the ceremony and led the Embassy’s officials, their families, and the Thai community to pay tribute to His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great before His Majesty the Late King’s portrait.

     On the same day at 18.30 hrs., the Royal Thai Embassy organised a reception on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, Thailand’s Father’s Day.  At the reception, His Excellency José Ramos-Horta, President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, presided as the Guest of Honour. The reception was attended by 150 guests from the Diplomatic corps, International Organizations/Agencies, Timorese Officials, Business Sector, and the Thai community in Dili.

     The Royal Thai Embassy in collaboration with the Thai community organised three Thai cultural performances, and a display of Thai fruit carving art, and demonstration of Pad Thai and Som Tam Salad to promote Thailand’s soft power.
