The Royal Thai Embassy in Dili organised a ceremony to celebrate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on 28 July 2024. H.E. Mr. Atipat Rojanapaibulya, Ambassador of Thailand to Timor-Leste, together with officials of the Embassy and spouses attended the ceremony. On this occasion, the Ambassador read the citation and led the participants in the candle-lighting and oath-taking ceremony as well as signing the well-wishing book in honor of His Majesty the King.

The Ambassador, along with the embassy’s officials and their spouses, as well as members of the Thai community in Timor-Leste, also organised a volunteer activity in commemoration of the Auspicious Occasion, by providing nutritious lunch to 200 school children under the “Dapur ba Povu” (Kitchen for the People) Nutrition Program at Kantina Matak, the Presidential Palace. The embassy together with the Thai Community also handed over essential food items to support the program’s efforts in promoting good nutrition among Timorese children and youth. President José Ramos-Horta graciously joined this volunteer activity and expressed his appreciation for the Thai community’s contribution in marking this auspicious occasion.
